Position: Oracle Database Administration
Total experience: 4+ yrs
Job description:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Implements, monitors, operate UNIX/LINUX systems, storage systems and databases. Has a good knowledge of appropriate HW and knows SW products like Oracle RDBMS, VERITAS Cluster. Ensures the functionality and availability of the server via introduction and maintenance of appropriate SW/HW. Is contact point between vendor and other technical teams to resolve network, HW and SW issues. Analyze issues of the systems and the network. Has basic knowledge about Electronic Data Exchange (EDI). Recommends solutions to improve availability and functionality. Uses processes like User-, Change-, Capacity-, and Security-Management. Recommends changes and improvements of the existing standards. Ensures data restoration via Backup and Restore. Creates and maintains system documentation. Trains users with respect to HW and SW.
Position Requirements:
Good English and communication skills
Very good analytical skills
4+ years experience in Oracle Database Administration
Note: This would be IC role and the candidate has to work independently. The working hour is 12 hours. 9 hours in office and 3 hours @ home.
