Service Control Design Engineer
Start date: ASAP
End date: 3 months (extendable)
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for delivering Service Control team solutions design solutions
• Delivery of Service Control KPIs as agreed
• Management of vendors on all aspects of design functionality, performance, capacity, product evolution, feature delivery and fault resolution
• Evaluation, of new software releases into the service control area
• Responsible for the HLD and DLD designs& solutions, platform design, platform integration, network integration, network planning and test bed operational responsibilities for service control platforms ensuring they are designed to operate at maximum capacity and efficiency.
• Working with the team, review business requirements and support needs in line with realistic targets, setting SLA\'s
• Responsible for Implementation Work orders in the service control area
• Build relationships with key suppliers and vendors driving an environment of shared responsibility and co-operation. Be a point of escalation for resolution of day to day vendor/supplier issues.
• Set, prioritize and manage the design, validation and implementation workload to ensure effective delivery of key objectives within agreed time, cost and quality parameters
• Provide input to the Design & Implementation work plan.
• Provide appropriate support to the Test teams to ensure fully tested solutions are delivered that meet the agreed business and operational acceptance criteria

• Good working Knowledge of deep packet inspection products mainly 3DPI (Procera)
• Good knowledge of GSM/UMTS, IN and OSA / Parlay
• Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following systems: NAI-SA and NAI-MSG (Kabira), XLP (TCS), 3API, 3DS (NSN one NDS)
• Good knowledge of HTTP, Cache, SMS, Radius and Proxy environments
• Good knowledge of 3GPP standards
• Ideally degree qualified in a Telecommunications discipline
• 7 - 10 years experience in telecommunications industry
