1. Link level Simulation of IEEE 802.16e OFDMA Physical Layer
IEEE 802.16e (WiMAX) standard is the emerging standard for mobile Metropolitan area networks. In this project implementing the link level downlink simulator contains the various blocks like randomiser/Derandomiser, FEC/viterbi decoder (includes tailbitting), OFDM modulator/demodulator, Data modulator/demodulator (Soft and Hard decisions), Preamble /Pilots generation and modulation, channel modeling (Ped A, Ped B and VehA), channel Estimation (LS and LMS) etc. This model supporting 512/1024 FFT size and permutation scheme as PUSC and AMC.Finally evaluating the performance with different coding rate, different channel estimation schemes and introducing interference plus noise. This model is extendable to include option features like Adaptive Antenna Systems (AAS) and MIMO.

2. Implementation of new test cases, PM counters on MS network entry, mobility, AAS and MIMO features (IEEE 802.16e MAC layer).

Here implementing a new algorithm based on CDMA technology for dynamic adaptation of size and frequency. The algorithm is based on measurements of the amount of ranging trials, based on the measurements of amount of bandwidth request, based on the amount of active connections etc.

4. Simulations of Downlink Beamformer for IEEE 802.16e Standard
Adaptive antenna systems (AAS) are an optional feature in IEEE 802.16e standard to increase capacity, coverage and signal quality. AAS equipped base stations can create beams that can steered, focusing the transmit energy to achieve greater range. When receiving, they can focus in the particular direction of the receiver. This helps eliminate unwanted interference from other locations. In this project analysis of new method based on the combination of spatial covariance matrix transformation and adaptive beamforming techniques. The beamformer is based on Principle component beamformer and Maximal ratio combing beamformer.

5. Design and Implementation of Peudolite Transceiver
Pseudolite transceiver is a ground based GPS (Global position System) transceiver using for position, velocity and time estimation .Model based design (MATLAB/SIMULINK) using for design and developing the various blocks like acquisition of signal, tracking (code /carrier phase) and navigation solution. Here two types of spreading codes (P codes and C/A codes) are used for implementing the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum(DSSS) technology in to model. Spreading the navigation data. 6. H.264 Video Encoder
Is a digital video codec standard which is noted for achieving very high data compression. It was written by the ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) together with the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) as the product of a collective partnership effort known as the Joint Video Team (JVT). In this project developing and implementing the various blocks like integer transform quantization, Entropy encoding (CABAC/CAVLC), Deblocking filter, Motion estimation etc.The prediction supported by both intra and inter prediction.

Performance Analysis of IEEE 802.16d OFDM Physical Layer
Fixed Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) is a technology that offer high speed voice, video and data services for the last mile, which presently dominated by the cable and digital subscriber line (DSL) technologies. The biggest advantage BWA has over its wired competitors is it increased capacity and ease of deployment, since the network can be created in just week by deploying a small No: of base stations on buildings or poles to create high capacity wireless access systems. Here studying the IEEE802.16 standard (WiMAX) and mainly on the 802.16d OFDM physical layer. Simulation is done at all the mandatory block consists of Randomization, FEC, Adaptive modulation and IFFT/FFT. Frequency domain Channel Estimation is done at the receiver side.

Adaptive Antenna Systems (AAS) Implementation on IEEE 802.16d standard
IEEE 802.16 (Wimax) standard is the emerging standard for WMANs. In that standards Adaptive Antenna Systems (AAS) and Space Time Coding are using for improving the performance and coverage. Here study and modification of the messages of the MAC layer (subscriber side) while implementing the Adaptive Antenna Systems.

Parametric Localization of Multiple Incoherently Distributed Sources using covariance fitting approach
Here a new algorithm for parametric localization of multiple incoherently distributed sources is simulated using MATLAB 6.5. This algorithm is based on an approximation of the array covariance matrix using central and non-central moments of the source angular power densities. Based on this approximation, a new computationally simple covariance fitting-based technique is proposed to estimate these moments. The source parameters are then obtained from these moment estimates. This algorithm can be used in Global Positioning System (GPS) for accurate position estimation.
