• Responsible for optimization and design support of two switches consisting of approximately 200 cell sites within DFW market.
• Responsible for continuous Operational Measurements (OMs) analysis, identified and prioritizes system design deficiencies and recommends hardware and software solutions to achieve the best possible system performance.
• Responsible for coverage testing, frequency related issues, dropped call analysis, poor originations, radio and network blocking, high CDMA FER, poor EC/IO, low data rate and data capacity on a CDMA cellular network.
• Based upon capacity and asset utilization studies, decommission under-utilized carriers and re-deploy and integrate those carriers in area needing extra capacity due to high traffic demands. This method is practiced in order to utilize company resources more efficiently while benefiting the company financially.
• Monitor channel element utilization, perform traffic-balancing to better utilize available resources and re-deploy under-utilized cards.
• Regional Test Equipment POC for the southern region, Work with test equipment vendors to evaluate/test new upgrades and releases and coordinate rollout to the region, supervise and maintain documented inventories of assigned test equipment.
• Work closely with Site acquisition team, conduct CW tests as necessary, and perform site visits in order to choose best possible candidates.
• Integrate new sites into the existing system to provide coverage consistent with the overall company goals and to resolve any capacity and coverage related issues.
• Maintain an excellent relationship with Network Operations group and communicate any break-fix and trouble ticket related issues on a daily basis to minimize Network down time and to maximize customer experience with the Network.
• Successfully Supported implementation CDMA IXRTT 3G standards into the existing network, monitored and tested 3G Voice and data functionality, and troubleshot software and hardware related issues effecting day to day operations.
• Successfully supported EVDO launch testing and is responsible for handling EVDO related customer trouble tickets.
• Project manage integrate temporary capacity or coverage resources into existing network in support of several large annual Special Events such as NASCAR races, NFL games, etc.
